If you haven’t caught on to our monthly Espresso Briefings, here’s a chance to find out what all the fuss is about. At 8.30am Thursday 25th June, Tim Milne of Matter will be presenting an exciting new concept for anyone interested in word of mouth, social media and how it can impact on brands.
People like to share things. Gifts are a powerful tool for getting people motivated to share their thoughts, as well as giving them something to talk about. People like to talk to one another about things they feel good about. Matter is a new communication medium built around the simple idea of giving people things.
* How can this simple principle be employed to stimulate word-of-mouth conversation?
* How can these conversations and their value be accurately measured?
* Is there something, in the process of giving a physical item to someone, that can be utilised to measure word-of-mouth?
* How valuable would this process be?
Alex Ricketts, Media Programmes Manager, Royal Mail will be hosting the event at The Media Centre, Stukeley Street, London, WC1V 7AB, until 10am. Members £20, Non-members & invited guests £25, and to register contact Julian Ferguson at julian.ferguson@womuk.org, 0203 286 4145 or 07921051282.
